  1. I had an afternoon of trying glazes on the cylinders. I used two colors on every piece and tried to use them half and half or top and bottom. I also tried to paint some designs on them. I kept some of the cylinders just so I could practice the glazing progress. It was a mixture of trial, errors and also some of lets just see what happens. I am curious as to how it is going to turn out. I didn't write any of it down so I am sure that I will want to repeat something.

I have studied the wall of color and talked to Aaron about how it all works. The wall of color is a wonderful tool because it shows you what your glaze colors are going to look like mixed together and separate. I am amazed that the glaze hardens so quickly and that it can be that easily removed with some hot water and sponge.

I am getting ready to start another dog piece this weekend but this time I am going to use a glaze instead of a stain and I am going to also incorporate some mixed media.

I am excited about the bowls and getting them trimmed. It is going to be tougher than I think, Brain makes it all look so easy and simple. I know it is not at all, lots of good hard work.

It is going to be another exciting weekend at IUS. I will be doing some serious work and meeting some goals with my school buddies.
